How to download videos from You Tube or Google

Let's start the tutorial about how to download videos directly from You Tube, Google Video, Metacafe and most video sites.

1.- Copy the Url of the video you want to download and then go to this site, paste it and click on Download.

Paste to http://javimoya.com/blog/download-videos/

Click on Download line to start.

You have downloaded a FLV format video, so you have to convert from Flv to other formats. There are a few freeware software which allows to realize that function perfectly. The first one is Riva FLV Encoder (download), and this website explains how to use it. The next one is easier, called CinemaForge (shareware without restrictions) and Javi Moya teaches its use with the following flash animation.

I'm using a software called Total video converter, you can downloaded from here.

2.- You can download videos which have been uploaded to Youtube from this site.
You only have to search by topic. After you have clicked on the video you want to download, a Youtube window will come out. Here you can watch the video or download by clicking on Options - Get download link - Download (rightclick here & save as "*.flv"). It's important to save as Flv or else you'll have to rename it.
